Lunch for grandsons and wife. Two children and two adults. Wait staff was friendly and quick with order. Baked desserts are made on premises. Clean establishment and delicious varieties of foods. Big portions.
Came here for early brunch and had a good experience. They have a wide menu selection full of delicious foods and drinks to choose from, from all-day breakfast to burgers to salads, to steak. They have it all. We got the all-day breakfast selections, and they were pretty good. The only critic I have was that the food barely had any flavor, so I had to add my own salt and pepper. The staff were super friendly, nice, and attentive. Be aware to get there early because this place gets insanely busy for brunch/lunch.
We've always driven past but never remember to come back. But this time, we wanted to stay in the area after a movie so we finally went. We've been missing out :) Very cool interior. There are a couple of semi round booths that were cool looking. I would have loved to sit there, but they were occupied, maybe next time, hehehe Service was great by Mary. Large menu to read lol and some interesting cocktails. If we drank, we definitely would have ordered some. Cavatelli and Salmon, comes with soup or salad, so I opted for the soup. Kale and Sausage soup was really good. I'm glad I ordered it. The pasta was delicious as well. Hubby ordered the United Nations Omelet. Which is 4 types of cheese. He ordered a side of Corned Beef Hash. He loved the Omelet. And the hash was crispy but not burnt. Something most places can't get right. I like that the cakes are individually portioned. So you know that each order is the same as last. And so many varieties of cake *drool* I ordered the Truffa Cake to go. Will definitely be coming back!
Suburban Diner is hands down one of the best spots for breakfast! Their food is always fresh, flavorful, and cooked to perfection. Whether it’s fluffy pancakes, crispy bacon, or perfectly seasoned omelets, every bite is delicious. Beyond the amazing food, the customer service is top-notch. The staff is incredibly friendly, attentive, and always makes you feel welcome. No matter how busy they are, they provide quick service with a smile. The atmosphere is warm and inviting, making it the perfect place to start your day. Whether you’re grabbing a quick bite or enjoying a relaxed meal with family and friends, Suburban Diner never disappoints. Highly recommend!
Stop in for late bite. Nami was are wonderful waiter. Food and service was great. Got some outrageous desert to go also.
My parents first brought me to the Suburban Diner when I moved to Paramus as a little kid in the 80s. Since then, I've gone there as a naive teen with my band of misfit friends throughout the 90s (sorry, guys, but we were misfits). Even though I've moved further away in my middle age, I still visit from time to time. It was a mainstay of Paramus culture then just as it is now, and I suspect that it will continue to be so for Paramus-ites and any else who'll have the pleasure of walking through The Suburban's doors. I most recently went on a Wednesday night. We ordered stereotypical diner fare: - disco fries (a big plate of fries under cheese and gravy) - a tuna melt - Chef’s Sloppy Creations, #11 Corned Beef & Pastrami - Beef Gyro - baklava & decaf coffee Everything was delicious and I recommend all of them. My Corned beef & pastrami sandwich was on rye and had cole slaw and Russian dressing. It was good. It wasn't Katz's deli good, but *nobody* else's is that good. I do have to nit-pick: There was a half-inch of meat in there, which is a decent amount, but it was a tad dry. The rye bread compounded the dryness and funnily, the cole slaw and Russian didn't help. My wife's beef gyro was another story. The beef and veggies in a pita with tzatziki sauce on the side were pretty tasty. It came with a sizeable Greek salad which was very nice. The baklava was great. But, then again, I've never had a piece of baklava that I didn't like. Our server was great. From the start, he thoughtfully offered lemon for our waters, which I often forget. After our order, which came out speedily, he offered pickles and cole slaw. (I welcomed the offer of pickles for my somewhat dry sandwich.) We had arrived there about an hour before closing, but our server was still very polite and accommodating. We closed down the place and he didn't give us a hurried word nor impatient attitude. Although we unwittingly ordered our dessert and coffee at the last minute, he did mention that he may not have decaf since they'd be closing in a few minutes, but I heard nothing more about it afterwards. Since The Suburban's renovation in 2012, it's modern vibe distinguishes itself as one of the nicer diners in Dirty Jersey. Bottom line. Carry on the Paramus tradition and visit this Diner. It will not disappoint! Edit: the All-American burger with turkey bacon, crispy onions, American cheese and chipotle mayo was excellent. Also, the artichoke-spinach dip with tortilla chips was very good.
What a great place! The decor is beautiful and the place is very clean. The food is delicious, creatively presented and the portions are huge. Service is friendly and attentive. And at the end of the meal there’s an amazing bakery for treats!
Food was really good; both quality and quantity. Service was really good as well. Parking was easy to find.
